The DISPERMAT® SL-C is a horizontal bead mill designed for laboratory and pilot-scale applications. It stands out for its high throughput capability and minimized dead volume in the millbase inlet and outlet tubing. During dispersion, the product is continuously processed through the horizontal grinding chamber. The SL-C bead mill can operate in both single-pass and recirculation modes. After dispersion, an integrated compressed air system expels any remaining product from the grinding chamber, allowing for nearly complete recovery of the dispersed material.
Thanks to its minimized dead volume, even very small quantities can be dispersed with high efficiency, making the SL-C ideal for research, development, and quality control tasks. Additionally, larger batches can be processed in a very short time. To minimize product loss, the millbase is fed directly from the product feed vessel into the grinding chamber. The dispersed product passes through the dynamic gap bead separation unit and is either collected in a vessel (single-pass method) or recirculated back to the feed vessel (recirculation method).
