TQC Sheen SP1100 SuperPIG is a precision destructive measurement device designed to inspect and measure the thickness of coatings on all types of substrates (wood, plastic, metal, etc.) or multilayer coatings. It also allows observation and measurement of surface or film defects.
The device makes a cut through the paint layer and includes a built-in microscope with a distance measurement scale. The Super-PIG is a very robust device and its integrated microscope provides highly accurate focusing. The microscope features dual scale readings in both millimeters and inches, enabling film thickness to be calculated in both microns and mils. The rubber eyepiece eliminates issues caused by ambient light and allows for better focus on the sample.
