WorléeKyd SC 965 is a long oil alkyd resin produced from special fatty acids and used for high quality decorative and building paints
Compatibility
WorléeKyd SC 965 is compatible with the most medium and long oil airdrying alkyd resins. WorléeKyd SC 965 is also compatible with conventional maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.
Solubility
WorléeKyd SC 965 is soluble in all common solvents.
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd SC 965 is especially: suitable for the production of high quality decorative and building paints, which stand out for their very good properties as brushability, flow, film build and high gloss. Semi gloss or flat paints based on WorléeKyd SC 965 combined with WorléeThix V 727 have excellent brushability, flow and soft feeling surface.
Driers
For the addition of driers to WorléeKyd SC 965 the following approximate values are recommended:
5.0 – 6.5 % Nuodex Combi APB (Rockwood) calculated on solid alkyd resin
or
0.04 – 0.06% Co metal
0.06 – 0.09% Zr metal
0.20 – 0.30% Ca metal
