Highly reactive polyester resin as aplasticizing component in water-thinnable stoving for paper, film, etc.
Application and Properties
WorléePol 808 can be used e.g. for the production of acid curing lacquers, for decorating foils together with suitable amino resins.
Because of the high reactivity of WorléePol 808 it is possible to cure wet films of 25 g/m2 (usually roller application) within 20 – 30 s at 140 °C or 40 – 60 s at 130 °C. The cured film has outstanding resistance properties.
Another use of WorléePol 808, also in combination with suitable amino resins, is the production of high gloss, heat curing overprint varnishes and inks. The resulting products show good wet and dry rub resistance, excellent gloss and good adhesion and fastness towards alkali and solvents.
Mixtures of WorléePol 808 and urea resins like Dynomin UM-15 (Dyno Cyanamid) can be cured very rapidly (in approx. 0.5 – 0.9 s) by IR-radiation (wave length 2800 nm).
