BS Viscosity Cup
BS Viscosity Cup is an anodized aluminum viscosity cup with a fixed stainless steel nozzle (internal orifice)
The TQC Sheen BS Viscosity Cup is an anodized aluminum viscosity cup with a fixed stainless steel nozzle (internal orifice). It is a laboratory-type cup used with a stand for measuring the viscosity of varnishes, paints, lacquers, and similar liquids. It is especially ideal for facilities and laboratories operating according to the former British standard.
Designed in accordance with the BS 3900 standard, this flow cup works by measuring, in seconds, the flow time of a defined volume of liquid through a standardized nozzle. The measured time value allows the viscosity of the liquid to be checked quickly.
Its anodized aluminum body and precision-machined nozzle provide durable, repeatable, and reliable measurement results. Models with different nozzle diameters allow use across various viscosity ranges.
It is widely preferred in paint production, coating processes, varnish control, and quality control laboratories.
The former BS 3900: Part A6, 1971 standard has been replaced by EN ISO 2431 / BS 3900 Part A6:1996; see Ref SH417. For the updated equivalent of the BS 3900 standard, please review our ISO 2431 flow cup models.
