Specially modified water-thinnable linseed oil polymer for use in pigment preparations, artists‘ paints and wood oils
Application and Properties
Due to the main characteristics of WorléeSol 30 like solubility with water – only given if 10-15% co-solvent (calculated on solids) are added – and solvents (e.g. white spirit), high and easy pigmentation, freeze-thaw stability and high gloss there are many interesting application fields, like e.g.:
- printing inks
- additive for dispersion systems
- pigment preparations or tinting colours
- artists’ paints
- temporary anticorrosive paints
and also in fields where the approved qualities of linseed oil products are required.
Drying
Following driers are recommended for WorléeSol 30:
0.06% cobalt
0.02% manganese
(metal calculated on WorléeSol 30 resin)
Cobalt drier acts more as a through drier in WorléeSol 30 systems and relatively high levels are recommended. Small amounts of manganese stabilize the drying. The driers should be incorporated into the WorléeSol 30 before reduction with water. A convenient method is to mix the driers into a portion of WorléeSol 30 before thinning with water.
Recommended Storage and Transport Conditions
Up to +25 °C. Avoid direct sunlight.
Shelf Life
The storage stability of WorléeSol 30 in the originally closed barrel is at a storage temperature from +5 to +25 °C nine months, counted from the day of the delivery ex works.
