Automatic Panel Sprayers (4500N, 4700N)
The TQC Automatic Panel Spray Device eliminates the application inconsistencies caused by handheld spray guns and helps create repeatable conditions for achieving consistent results.
The TQC Sheen Automatic Panel Sprayers is a professional coating test system designed to eliminate variability caused by manual spray applications, ensuring standardized and repeatable results in paint and coating processes.
In manual spray applications, results may vary depending on operator-related factors such as angle, distance, and speed. The automatic panel sprayer controls these variables, enabling consistent conditions in every application.
Consistency
Consistency in paint application is crucial for evaluating post-application properties such as color, gloss, opacity, and overall appearance, as well as for assessing physical characteristics including thickness, sagging, leveling, and adhesion. The analysis of these properties is particularly important for high-performance coatings such as metallic, pearlescent, and special-effect finishes. TQC Sheen Automatic Panel Sprayers are fully pneumatic (air-pressure driven) systems developed in collaboration with leading paint manufacturers.
Models and Options
There are two models available: SH0586 and SH0590 (formerly SH4500N and SH4700N, respectively). The SH0586 is designed for single spray gun operation, while the SH0590 supports dual spray gun operation.*
*Spray guns are not included with the sprayers. (The previous Sheen 4800N model has been discontinued.)
SH0586 – 4500N Panel Sprayer
This single-gun sprayer can hold up to 4 standard panels (100 x 150 mm) and offers a maximum spray area of 350 x 500 mm. The operator can program spray pressure, number of coats, traverse speed, lift increment, and flash-off time.
SH0590 – 4700N Panel Sprayer
This intermediate model supports twin-gun operation, accommodates up to 9 standard panels (100 x 150 mm), and provides a maximum spray area of 500 x 500 mm when using a single gun. The operator can program spray pressure, number of coats, traverse speed, lift increment, and flash-off time.
Differences Between New and Previous Models
The new models, SH0586 (single spray) and SH0590 (dual spray), replace the previous Sheen 4500N and 4700N versions. While the main unit remains the same, the spray gun increment steps in the new models are fixed (40 and 50 mm).
Panel Holders
All models are equipped with magnetic panel holders as standard. An optional vacuum panel holder is available for use with non-magnetic and other flat panels.
Parameter Settings
The sprayers allow optimization of parameters such as atomization, coating structure, flash-off timing, flow/leveling, film thickness, as well as gun traverse speeds and accelerated drying conditions. These settings are especially important when defining the characteristics of new formulations.
Optimal Settings
Once optimal parameters for a product are established, they can be easily reproduced for quality control and further sampling, making it easier to detect inconsistencies in formulation or preparation.
