WorléeThix V 800

Compatibility
W´Thix V 800 is compatible with most medium and long oil drying alkyd resins. It is also compatible with maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.

Solubility
W´Thix V 800 is well soluble in nearly all solvents.

Application and Properties
WorléeThix V 800 is mainly used for the manufacture of thick layer coatings and lacquers (e.g. coating systems with electrostatic adjustment). Paints and lacquers based on WorléeThix V 800 have very good brushability, excellent flow and also at thick layers very good through drying. Due to the very good through drying, early stackability is achieved. Natural and artificial cold check tests have indicated long term elasticity.

When paints or lacquers based on WorléeThix V 800 are applied by conventional or airless spray, only water irrigated spraying cabinets are recommended as the spraying dust tends to self-ignition if it is dry.

Recommended Storage- and Transport Conditions
Avoid direct sunlight, do not store above 30 °C.

Driers
Following driers are recommended for WorléeThix V 800:

Cobalt-containing:
0.04 – 0.06% Co
0.05 – 0.07% Zr
0.10 – 0.30% Ca
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)

Cobalt-free:
approx. 1% Nuodex Drycoat (Rockwood)
(on solid binder)

and in addition:
0.10 – 0.30% Ca
0.10 – 0.15% Zr
(Metal on solid binder)
