The TQC-Sheen Automatic Film Applicator is a reliable tool that eliminates human variables in the application of paint films onto test charts, panels, or foils, ensuring uniform and repeatable results. During manual application, factors such as speed, applied pressure, and draw-down direction can vary, leading to inconsistencies. Additional variables like cutting speed and the applicator’s weight can also affect the outcome.

With the TQC-Sheen automatic applicator, these variables are stabilized, resulting in an even film thickness across the entire surface. Samples prepared with the TQC-Sheen Automatic Film Applicator offer excellent reproducibility. It enables the quick production of multiple, identical lab-quality drawdowns.

The device is essential for preparing film samples for testing properties such as rheology, abrasion resistance, hiding power, and gloss. It is suitable for drawdowns on glass, paper, metal surfaces, or foils, and is compatible with various applicator types including Baker, Bird, Reservoir-type block applicators, and spiral wire-wound bar applicators.
