First Plus Viscometer

Designed for viscosity measurements according to: TS 5833 / EN ISO 3219 (Determination of viscosity using a rotational viscometer at a defined shear rate) TS 6126 / EN ISO 2555 (Determination of apparent viscosity using the Brookfield method) TS 5809 / ASTM D562 (Krebs-Stormer (KU) method)

Designed for viscosity measurement in accordance with ASTM / ISO 2555 (RV) standards. Optionally, the instrument can also operate with measurement systems complying with ASTM D 562 / TS 5809 (Krebs-Stormer), ISO 3219 (DIN 11-22-33), or MS-BV 1-1000.

Featuring modern, springless measurement technology and a robust construction, First Plus delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability.
Its 7″ touchscreen display offers intuitive operation and allows all parameters to be viewed simultaneously.

Equipped with an integrated temperature sensor, First Plus is supplied with a standard laboratory stand and either an ASTM RV 2-7 or LV1-4 spindle set.

The low-torque LR version of First Plus provides enhanced sensitivity for the measurement of very low-viscosity materials.
All models are delivered with a calibration certificate.

Single Device Multiple Measurement System

Lamy viscometers feature multi-method capability. With interchangeable spindles, the same unit can measure both KU values (Krebs-Stormer method) and apparent viscosity following the Brookfield method. With First Plus, measurements can also be performed using the ISO 3219 (MS-DIN-11-22-33) and MS-BV1-1000 systems

Springless Design

Lamy viscometers feature a springless design. This innovative construction is unaffected by ambient temperature changes and eliminates the need for precise leveling using a spirit level. It is suitable not only for high-precision analytical laboratory environments but also for demanding industrial conditions.

Kinematic Viscosity Measurement

With Lamy viscometers, kinematic viscosity measurement is also possible by entering the product density. The devices allow measurement time to be set, enabling repeatable viscosity measurements of thixotropic products.
