TQC-Sheen dip-type ASTM D1200 Ford viscosity cups are used to measure the viscosity of paints, varnishes, and other fluids. They are widely used in adjusting the application viscosity of paints, printing inks, and varnishes. The precisely manufactured flow orifice is made of stainless steel, and the cup is equipped with a handle for immersion into containers. TQC-Sheen dip-type ASTM D1200 flow cups are available in two models: titanium anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
ASTM D1200 defines five different cup types: No.1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The term “4mm orifice Ford cup” is a common mislabeling, often referring instead to either DIN 53211-4mm or Ford Cup No.4.
