Application and Properties
WorléeThix MH 439 is an excellent thixotropic binder for fast drying and not sagging industrial primers and top coats. WorléeThix MH 439 is used for the production of thixotropic primers, top coats, hammer finish and other structured paints. By using WorléeThix MH 439 very good stability on vertical surfaces is achieved. The use of anti settling or gelling agents is not necessary.
Based on WorléeThix MH 439 in combination with reactive urea or melamine resins fast curing stoving systems (primers, top coats and structured paints) with stable rheology properties can be produced.
Compatibility
WorléeThix MH 439 is compatible with short oil and some medium oil alkyd resins. Also with some physically drying binders like vinyl-mixed polymerisates (e.g. Laroflex, BASF), chlorinated polypropylenes and chlorinated rubber (e.g. Pergut, Covestro).
Solubility
WorléeThix MH 439 is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and glycol ethers, it is partially soluble in white spirit.
Drying
Following driers are recommended for WorléeThix MH 439:
0.02 – 0.05% Co
0.05 – 0.08% Zr
0.10 – 0.30% Ca
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)
Recommended Storage and Transport Conditions
Avoid direct sunlight, do not store above 30 °C.
