WorléeKyd B 865 U is particularly suitable as a sole binder or in combination with long-oil alkyd resins for the production of wood primers, parquet sealants, primers, undercoats and fast- drying topcoats.
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd B 865 U is mainly recommended as the only binder or in combination with long oil alkyd resins for wood varnishes, parquet sealers, primers, undercoat lacquers and fast drying top coats.
When paints or lacquers based on WorléeKyd B 865 U are applied by conventional or airless spray, only water irrigated spraying cabinets are recommended as the spraying dust tends to self-ignition if it is dry.
Compatibility
WorléeKyd B 865 U is compatible with the majority of medium and long-oil, air drying alkyd resins and with nearly all maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.
Solubility
WorléeKyd B 865 U is soluble in all usual solvents.
Drying
Following driers are recommended for WorléeKyd B 865 U:
Cobalt-containing:
0.02 – 0.05% Co
0.03 – 0.08% Zr
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)
Cobalt-free:
1% Nuodex Drycoat (Venator)
and in addition:
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
0.10 – 0.15% Zr
