WorléeThix SD 6051

Compatibility
WorléeThix SD 6051 is compatible with most medium and long oil air drying alkyd resins. It ismalso compatible with the common maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.

Solubility
WorléeThix SD 6051 is soluble in all common solvents.

Application and Properties
WorléeThix SD 6051 is especially recommended for primers, gloss paints and silk gloss paints as well as in thick layer anti corrosion systems. All these paint systems show very good application properties while brushing rolling and spraying. WorléeThix SD 6051 reduces sagging from vertical surfaces.

WorléeThix SD 6051 has an improved stability against polar solvents, matting agents and driers. Therefore WorléeThix SD 6051 for example can also be used in colour paste systems.

WorléeThix SD 6051 can be combined with other alkyd resins like e.g.

• WorléeKyd S 351 (for silk gloss paints)
• WorléeKyd B 865 U (thick layer anti corrosion systems)
• WorléeKyd B 870 (for glossy decorative paints) etc.

With the additional use of strong polar additives, strong polar after-treated matting agents and polar solvents please note that the content is not too high.

If the content reaches a too high level the thixotropy of WorléeThix SD 6051 is reduced. At a temperature of approx. 60 °C WorléeThix SD 6051 shows good pumping properties.

Driers
Following driers are recommended for WorléeThix SD 6051
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
0.05 – 0.07% Co
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)
or
5.00 – 6.50% Nuodex Combi APB (Rockwood) of solution on solid alkyd resin.

Storage
The storage stability in the originally closed barrel is at a storage temperature from +5 to +25 °C six months, counted from the day of the delivery ex works.
