WorléeThix S 6357 is a long oil thixotropic alkyd resin. By addition of polar solvents and heat the soft gel structure is not totally degradable

Compatibility
WorléeThix S 6357 is completely compatible with most medium and long oil alkyds. It is also compatible with common used maleic resins, rosin esters and phenolic modified rosin esters; not compatible with short oil alkyds.

Solubility
WorléeThix S 6357 is soluble in all usual solvents.

Application and Properties
WorléeThix S 6357 is especially suitable for the manufacture of anticorrosive primers, decorative and building paints as well as thick layer wood glazings. WorléeThix S 6357 needs a content of polar substances for the construction of the full rheological properties. Polar solvents should not be added until after the dispersing phase.

Recommended Storage- and Transport Conditions
Avoid direct sunlight, do not store above 30 °C.

Driers
Following driers are recommended for WorléeThix S 6357:
0.04 – 0.06% Co
0.05 – 0.09% Zr
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)
or
5.00 – 6.50% Nuodex Combi APB (Rockwood) of solution on solid alkyd resin.
