TMI Büchel Crease and Board 79-15

The TMI Büchel 79-15 Crease and Board Stiffness Tester is a professional testing instrument developed for the precise measurement of stiffness, crease resistance, and spring-back properties of carton board, paper, corrugated board, and packaging materials.

The device performs crease line, bending resistance, and post-crease spring-back measurements on paper-based materials, helping to evaluate packaging performance. It is especially ideal for analyzing carton behavior in high-speed packaging lines.

These properties are critical for the performance of folding cartons during production and packaging processes. Improper crease line structure or insufficient carton stiffness may lead to deformation, closing problems, and packaging defects.

The TMI Büchel 79-15 Crease and Board Stiffness Tester measures the stiffness at 50mm and 15 degrees and the crease line at 10mm and 90 degrees. Both stiffness and spring back can be measured. A spring loaded clamp secures the sample. The clamp is manually rotated towards the fixed position. During a test, the continuous force value is displayed. When the test time of 15 seconds is completed, the maximum force is displayed. The instrument can be supplied with square clamps and/or round cornered clamps (Philip Morris method).
