The TQC Sheen Sag and Leveling Film Applicator is a specialized test instrument developed to evaluate the flow and leveling behavior of paints and coatings on a surface. By analyzing the coating’s ability to form a uniform film, it helps determine overall surface quality.
Used in laboratory and quality control processes, this applicator enables comparative testing of paint, varnish, and coating systems. Controlled application ensures repeatable and reliable results. Unlike standard film applicators, sag and leveling applicators are specifically designed to analyze the surface behavior of coatings.
This product is a dual-function applicator. On one side, it features 10 notches ranging from 75 to 300 microns to test the sagging tendency of the paint film. On the other side, it has 5 pairs of grooves with increasing depth, allowing the formation of two sets of film strips. The thickness at which the strips merge is evaluated to determine the leveling properties of the coating. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, it is resistant to chemicals, ensuring long service life and providing significant advantages in R&D applications.
