Taber Linear Abraser
The TABER Linear Abraser is a device designed to evaluate finished products of any size, regardless of whether the surface is contoured or flat.
The Taber Linear Abraser is designed to test virtually any specimen, regardless of its size or shape. It is ideal for measuring the material properties of contoured surfaces and finished products.
Originally developed to evaluate abrasion resistance, the instrument can also be used to test scratch resistance (single or multiple passes), color transfer (commonly referred to as crocking or crockmeter testing), and coin scratch resistance. Additionally, with the use of multi-purpose or specialized attachments, “real-world conditions” can be simulated to perform other material durability tests. The Linear Abraser is suitable for both wet and dry testing applications.
