WorléePol 6741
WorléePol 6741 is a saturated, hydroxyl functional polyester resin for the manufacture of solvent based “ultra high solids” 2 component PUR systems.
Application and Properties
Due to its wide compatibility WorléePol 6741 can be used in various systems.
Normally this polyester resin is used as a sole binder or modifying component for isocyanate crosslinking solvent based high solid coatings.
In combination with aliphatic polyisocyanates WorléePol 6741 is used in air- and forced-drying 2 pack-“ultra high solids” lacquers for industrial and car repair coatings and shows good mechanical properties as well as chemical and outdoor resistance.
The special dilutibility enables the formulation of 2 pack topcoats with low VOC (calculated value of approx. 360 g/l in a white testing formulation at a viscosity of 21 s at 20 °C in a DIN 4 mm-cup) and at the same time good drying and hardening.
In corresponding lacquer formulations (acrylic polyol or polyester polyol) with WorléePol 6741 the solvent content of the lacquer can be reduced in clear and topcoats with the same processing viscosity.
