The density or specific gravity of liquids can be affected by entrapped gas and air bubbles during testing. The TQC Sheen Pressure Density Cup is equipped with a mechanism capable of pressurizing the test liquid up to 10 bar and is specifically designed for precise density measurement with a fixed internal volume of 100 ml.
After mixing, shaking, or dispersion, gases or air bubbles can become trapped within the material. Under pressure, the air will dissolve more effectively into the liquid, and the remaining bubbles will be compressed to a fraction of their original size. This allows the liquid’s density to be determined with high repeatability through precision weighing.
The TQC Pressurized Density Cup can be easily disassembled for convenient cleaning.
Standards:
TS EN ISO 2811-4: Paints and varnishes — Determination of density — Part 4: Pressure cup method. Please refer to the standard for proper test procedures. The test must only be performed if all components of the pressurized density cup share the same serial number.
