The RM100 Portable Viscometer is a portable rotational measuring device developed for viscosity measurement in both field and laboratory environments. Thanks to its compact design, it can be easily used on production lines, directly on tanks, or in various on-site conditions.

The RM100 Portable is designed in accordance with ISO 3219 (DIN 11-22-33) for true viscosity measurement at high shear rates. Its modular design allows the device to be used with multiple measurement systems, including ASTM D562 / TS 5809 (Krebs-Stormer), ASTM / ISO 2555 (RV), and MS-BV 1-1000. With rotational speeds up to 1500 rpm, it enables operation at high shear rates exceeding 5,000 s⁻¹.

The viscometer measures the resistance of liquids to flow, providing critical data for product quality and process control. The RM100 Portable operates on the rotating spindle principle, delivering highly precise viscosity measurements.

RM100 Plus Advantages

Its modern springless measurement technology and robust construction ensure exceptionally accurate and reliable performance. The 7″ touchscreen makes operation easy and allows all parameters to be displayed simultaneously. With its high torque, the RM100 can measure paints above 141 KU, unlike standard Krebs viscometers. With non-standard extrapolation, measurements up to 250 KU are possible using a standard Krebs spindle.

Thanks to its portable design, there is no need to transport samples to the laboratory for measurement. This enables fast decision-making and real-time quality control during production processes.

Equipped with an integrated temperature sensor, the RM100 Portable is supplied with a neck strap. Required measurement systems are available separately.

The RM100 Portable also offers a low-torque LR version, providing enhanced sensitivity for measuring very low-viscosity products. All models are delivered with a calibration certificate.

With its user-friendly interface and digital display, measurement results can be easily monitored. It is an ideal solution for quality control and R&D applications in the paint and coatings, chemical, food, and cosmetics industries.

Single Device Multiple Measurement System

Lamy viscometers feature multi-method capability. With interchangeable spindles, the same unit can measure both KU values (Krebs-Stormer method) and apparent viscosity following the Brookfield method. Measurements can also be performed with RM100 Portable using ISO 3219 (MS-DIN-11-22-33) and MS-BV1-1000 systems.

Springless Design

Lamy viscometers feature a springless design. This innovative construction is unaffected by ambient temperature changes and eliminates the need for precise leveling using a spirit level. It is suitable not only for high-precision analytical laboratory environments but also for demanding industrial conditions

Long-Term Use

With the RM100 Portable, it is possible to perform continuous measurements within the facility for approximately one hour without plugging into a power outlet.
