RM100 Portable is a portable viscometer designed for true viscosity measurement at high shear rates in accordance with ISO 3219 (DIN11-22-33) standard. Thanks to its modular design, the device can also operate with ASTM D 562 / TS 5809 (Krebs-Stormer), ASTM / ISO 2555 (RV), or MS-BV 1-1000 measurement systems. With rotational speeds of up to 1500 rpm, the RM100P enables measurements at shear rates exceeding 5,000 s⁻¹.

Its modern, springless measurement technology and robust construction provide a highly accurate and reliable measuring instrument. The intuitive 7″ touchscreen makes operation simple and allows all parameters to be displayed simultaneously. With its high torque, RM100 can measure paints with viscosity values above 141 KU, unlike standard Krebs viscometers. Through non-standard extrapolation, measurements up to 250 KU can be performed using the standard Krebs spindle.

Equipped with an integrated temperature sensor, the RM100 Portable is supplied with a neck strap for convenient use. Desired measurement systems must be ordered separately.

The new low-torque LR version of RM100 Portable offers enhanced sensitivity for the measurement of very low-viscosity products. All models are delivered with a calibration certificate.

Single Device Multiple Measurement System

Lamy viscometers feature multi-method capability. With interchangeable spindles, the same unit can measure both KU values (Krebs-Stormer method) and apparent viscosity following the Brookfield method. Measurements can also be performed with RM100 Portable using ISO 3219 (MS-DIN-11-22-33) and MS-BV1-1000 systems.

Springless Design

Lamy viscometers feature a springless design. This innovative construction is unaffected by ambient temperature changes and eliminates the need for precise leveling using a spirit level. It is suitable not only for high-precision analytical laboratory environments but also for demanding industrial conditions

Long-Term Use

With the RM100 Portable, it is possible to perform continuous measurements within the facility for approximately one hour without plugging into a power outlet.
