Dispermat AE – Laboratory Dissolver and Dispersion Mixer

DISPERMAT® AE is a high-performance laboratory dissolver and dispersing mixer developed to achieve repeatable dispersing results in laboratory, pilot plant and low-volume production applications. It enables paints, coatings, printing inks, pigments, adhesives and various chemical formulations to be mixed and dispersed under controlled conditions.

VMA-GETZMANN’s advanced C-Technology enables critical process parameters such as speed, torque, power, product temperature, processing time and dispersing disc height to be monitored and recorded. With functions including operation at constant speed or constant power, automatic shut-off and recipe storage, the DISPERMAT® AE is a reliable solution for research and development, quality control, formulation development and scale-up studies.

Available with different motor power ratings, speed ranges and stand configurations, DISPERMAT® AE models cover a broad operating range, from 0.25-litre laboratory samples to pilot production volumes of up to 200 litres.

DISPERMAT® AE is a process-controlled dissolver mixer designed to distribute pigments, fillers and other solid components homogeneously within a liquid using a high-speed dispersing disc.

While a conventional laboratory mixer primarily blends components, a dissolver generates high shear forces that help break down agglomerates, wet particle surfaces with the liquid phase and distribute them evenly throughout the formulation. This is important for colour development, homogeneity, product stability and batch-to-batch repeatability.

By monitoring process data during dispersing, the DISPERMAT® AE does more than simply mix the formulation; it also enables different trials to be repeated under the same conditions. This allows laboratory results to be transferred to pilot plant or production scale in a more controlled manner.

The appropriate model in the DISPERMAT® AE series is selected according to the product volume, viscosity, required dispersing disc diameter, motor power and target dispersing speed.

The AE03–AE06 models are conventional laboratory dissolvers suitable for a broad range of applications, from small laboratory samples to larger formulation studies. Their compact H2L stand and electric height adjustment allow them to accommodate different container sizes.

The AE08 and AE10 models are designed for pilot plant applications requiring larger product volumes and higher torque. Their robust H2SF stand enables safe and stable operation with larger containers.

Equipped with an 11 kW motor and an H3S stand, the AE14 is the series solution for high-volume pilot plant and production applications.

Total container capacity alone is not sufficient when selecting the correct model. Whether the product has a low, medium or high viscosity affects the required dispersing disc diameter, working volume, motor power and torque.

The dissolver DISPERMAT® AE03-AE06 is fitted with the C4 technology.
