WorléeKyd V 162 is a medium oil length, fast drying alkyd resin for the universal use in air and forced drying industrial, vehicle, machinery and radiator paints
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd V 162 is mainly used as the binder for fast drying industrial paints. Forced drying up to 80 °C with and without addition of a high reactive melamine resin is also possible. Because of the relatively good yellowing resistance also the manufacture of radiator paints is possible.
Sustainability
The proportion of renewable raw materials is about 38%, calculated on solids.
Compatibility
WorléeKyd V 162 is compatible with many short and medium oil alkyd resins.
Solubility
WorléeKyd V 162 is soluble in all usual paint solvents, only in alcohols it is insoluble.
Driers
The following driers are recommended for WorléeKyd V 162:
0.03 – 0.06% Co
0.05 – 0.09% Zr
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
(metal content on 100% alkyd resin).
Shelf Life
The storage stability of WorléeKyd V 162 in the originally closed barrel is at a storage temperature from +5 to +25 °C twelve months, counted from the day of the delivery ex works.
