Compatibility
WorléeDur MF 45 is compatible with some short-oil drying alkyds, such as WorléeKyd L 138, SM 400, T 730 and MH 38. It is also compatible with most urea and melamine formaldehyde resins, with maleic resins and with phenolic modified rosin esters, such as WorléeFen F 105 and F 130 .
Solubility
WorléeDur MF 45 is soluble in aromatic solvents, esters, ketones and glycol ethers. It has limited solubility in aliphatic hydrocarbons and higher alcohols. It is insoluble in lower alcohols.
Application and properties
WorléeDur MF 45 is a special epoxy ester for quick drying primers and top-coats with very good corrosion resistance. Air drying zinc-rich primers based on WorléeDur MF 45 have very good stability, adhesion on steel and excellent long-term corrosion resistance.
WorléeDur MF 45 is also used in conjunction with melamine or urea formaldehyde resins for coloured stoving primers and top-coats. The recommended ratio is 80 : 20 to 90 : 10 with melamine resins and 7 : 3 – 8 : 2 with urea resins (calculated on solids content). The best stoving temperature is 120 – 140 °C.
