Zahn Viscosity Cups
Zahn Viscosity Cups are dip-type testing instruments used for the quick and practical measurement of the viscosity of paints, varnishes, inks, and similar liquids. The measurement is based on immersing the cup into the liquid and determining the discharge time through the orifice in seconds.
The Zahn Cup is preferred for instant viscosity control in production lines and during application processes. It delivers fast results without the need for fixed laboratory systems and allows easy adjustment of process parameters.
Manufactured in accordance with ASTM D1084 and ASTM D4212 standards, Zahn Flow Cups offer long service life and precise measurement thanks to their stainless steel body construction. Models with different nozzle sizes from No.1 to No.5 are available, making them suitable for both low- and high-viscosity liquids.
They are widely used for quality control in the paint industry, printing inks, varnish production, and coating processes.
