Compatability
WorléeKyd B 850 U is compatible with the majority of medium- and long oil air drying alkyd resins. It is also compatible with most of maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.
Solubility
WorléeKyd B 850 U is soluble in all solvents.
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd B 850 U is mainly recommended as the only binder for high quality and fast drying primers and top coats for industrial application e.g. machinery- and agricultural machinery paints. The outstanding properties are white spirit dilutability, very fast drying and through drying. These advantageous drying properties enable fast tape resistance and good recoatability. It is an alternative to vinyl toluene alkyds.
When paints or lacquers based on WorléeKyd B 850 U are applied by conventional or airless spray, only water irrigated spraying cabinets are recommended as the spraying dust tends to self-ignition if it is dry.
Driers
The following addition of driers is recommended for WorléeKyd B 850 U:
0.04 – 0.06% Co metal
0.05 – 0.09% Zr metal
0.10 – 0.20% Ca metal
metal on 100% alkyd resin
or
5.00 – 6.50% Nuodex Combi APB (Rockwood) of drier solution on 100% alkyd resin.
