WorléeKyd V 298 is a short oil, fast drying alkyd resin based on drying, vegetable fatty acids for the manufacture of air drying base and top coats with low aromate content.
Compatibility
WorléeKyd V 298 is compatible with short oil and some medium oil alkyd resins. Furthermore WorléeKyd V 298 is compatible with the usual maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.
Solubility
WorléeKyd V 298 is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, glycol ethers and isoparaffines.
Application and roperties
WorléeKyd V 298 is especially suitable for the manufacture of xylene free fast drying anti corrosion primers and industrial paints. Anti corrosion primers based on WorléeKyd V 298 show especially good drying properties and corrosion resistance.
Drying
The following driers are recommended for WorléeKyd V 298:
a) lead containing
0.04 – 0.07% Ca metal
0.04 – 0.07% Co metal
0.50 – 0.70% Pb metal
calculated on 100% alkyd resin
b) lead free
0.01 – 0.05% Co metal
0.08 – 0.20% Ca metal
or
4.0 – 5.5% OS-Drier 203 (Borchers),solution calculated on 100% alkyd resin.
