The AFNOR Viscosity Cup is a laboratory-type testing instrument used to measure the viscosity of paints, varnishes, inks, and similar liquids based on the flow time principle. It is especially preferred for precise quality control applications.
The AFNOR Viscosity Cup operates by measuring, in seconds, the discharge time of a defined volume of liquid through a standardized nozzle. Based on the obtained flow time values, product viscosity can be checked quickly and practically.
Developed according to the French NF T30-014 standard, AFNOR Cup models have been widely used in the paint and coatings industry for many years. Different nozzle diameters provide suitable options for both low- and high-viscosity liquids.
Its stand-mounted laboratory design ensures stable and repeatable measurements. It is commonly used in paint production, varnish processes, ink applications, and coating quality control procedures. Manufactured from high-precision titanium anodized aluminum, the cups feature a stainless steel flow orifice.
