TQC Sheen Scrub Abrasion and Washability Tester

The TQC Sheen Wet Abrasion Resistance Tester is designed to evaluate the resistance of coatings such as paints, varnishes, or similar products on coated panels against scratching and wear caused by dry or wet abrasion, as well as to determine color change or gloss loss. It simulates everyday wear resulting from general use or cleaning procedures. It is also suitable for testing plastics, wooden panels, kitchen countertops, household appliances, and similar materials.

Tests can be conducted either as a pass/fail evaluation after a specified number of abrasion cycles or by periodic inspections to determine the minimum number of cycles at which coating damage occurs.

The TQC Sheen Wet Abrasion Resistance Tester can also be used to assess the performance of cleaning agents and their components.

Numerous standards require wet or dry abrasion and rubbing tests to assess coating quality. For example, the TS EN 13300 standard defines wet abrasion resistance as a quality classification for interior wall paints.

The device is equipped with a micro-step controlled electric motor that provides precise and constant speed with sinusoidal speed control. Its push-turn control knob and multilingual operating menu displayed on a large illuminated screen make it intuitive and easy to use.

An integrated dual-pump system allows testing with two separate solutions. Each pump supplies two test channels and can be operated independently. This feature enables the TQC Abrasion Tester to be used not only in the paint industry but also in the detergent industry. The adjustable abrasion equipment holder allows safe testing of a wide variety of specimen types.
