FTG2000 is a precision film and foil thickness gauge specifically developed for measuring Testex® replica tapes used in surface profile assessments.
Its large, clear display ensures easy reading under all conditions. Values can be displayed in microns or inches.
To minimize the influence of hand and body heat on the device, it is mounted on a dedicated holder.
The FTG2000 film thickness gauge performs measurements in accordance with the standard TS EN ISO 8503-5 – Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products – Tests for the assessment of surface cleanliness – Part 5: Replica tape method for the determination of the surface profile.
As specified in this standard, the closing force is 1.5 N. The device features an accuracy of 5 microns and a resolution of 1 micron. The FTG2000 is supplied with a protective carrying case.
