WorléeKyd L 138
WorléeKyd L 138 is a short oil phenolic modified alkyd resin, based on a linseed oil/wood oil blend.

Compatibility
WorléeKyd L 138 is compatible with most short oil alkyds and with some medium oil length alkyds and nitro cellulose.
Solubility
WorléeKyd L 138 is well soluble in aromatics, esters, ketones and glycol ether esters.
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd L 138 is particularly suitable for the manufacture of air-drying and stoving primers, under coats, surfacers and fillers which combine very fast surface and through-drying properties. To reduce the viscosity and improve viscosity stability in heavily filled systems, a small addition of an alcohol, e.g. butanol is recommended.
WorléeKyd L 138 improves the adhesion, hardness and sanding properties of nitrocellulose based under coats and fillers. Stoving primers and surfacers may also be made from combinations with smaller amounts of unplasticized urea formaldehyde or melamine formaldehyde resins.
Driers
The following addition of driers is recommended
0.04 – 0.06% Co metal
0.10 – 0.20% Ca metal
calculated on 100% alkyd resin
