Drying Time Recorder

TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder is a device used to determine the different stages of the drying process of paints and coatings, operating in accordance with the BK (Beck Koller) method.

The TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder is a fully digitally controlled device used to identify the different stages in the drying process of paints and coatings. It operates in accordance with the BK (Beck Koller) method. Thanks to its digital display and intuitive interface, monitoring intermediate stages or obtaining the final result is very straightforward.

The device complies with ASTM D5895, ISO 9117-4, and DIN EN 14022 standards. The TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder is equipped with six needles and comes with two durable and reusable glass test beds, each measuring 100 x 350 x 3 mm. Optionally, six narrow glass test beds can be provided with special adapters.

The front panel of the TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder is made of transparent glass that protects the lower screen and is easy to clean. The device operates on a 24 V DC power supply.

Temperature-friendly Design

The TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder offers a unique capability to perform tests at temperatures as low as -20 °C. Its drive system operates without lubricants, eliminating issues with lubricants freezing or solidifying at low temperatures. The screen is heated to enhance menu visibility under low-temperature conditions. These design features allow the device to operate in a wide temperature range from -20 °C to +70 °C (non-condensing), making it suitable for use in climatic chambers.

Wide and flexible time range

The TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder can operate within a wide and flexible time range, adjustable from 1 minute up to 200 hours. This makes the TQC Sheen Drying Time Recorder suitable for both very slow-drying paints that require days to cure and fast-drying floating coatings. The device offers highly precise timing, with an accuracy of less than 1% of the set time.
