Feeding Presses

Feed press systems are required for processing high-viscosity and non-flowing materials through the pearl mill.

The feed press, equipped with an integrated control panel, uses a pressure piston to force the product into the grinding chamber. The standard feed hopper of the DISPERMAT® SL is removed and replaced with a robust stainless steel vessel (with a capacity of either 500 ml or 1000 ml). After filling the vessel with the material—using a spatula if necessary—the press is connected to the vessel using a quick-clamp ring.

The speed at which the pressure piston moves up or down can be infinitely adjusted, allowing precise control over the material’s feed rate through the pearl mill. Once the piston reaches the lowest position, the press automatically stops. The piston is then raised, and the press is removed by releasing the quick-clamp ring. If a foil is placed between the piston and the product before starting the process, cleaning of the piston is not required afterward.
