WorléeKyd CD 32
WorléeKyd CD 32 is a short oil alkyd resin based on special fatty acids, application mainly in combination with suitable amino resins for the manufacture of high reactive stoving paints. Also for air drying primers and top coats WorléeKyd CD 32 can be used

Compatibility
WorléeKyd CD 32 is normally compatible with short oil alkyd and amino resins. Due to the numerous products being on the market trials in advance are recommended. There is also compatibility with some aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates, but not with PVC mixed polymerisates.
Solubility
WorléeKyd CD 32 is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, glycol ethers and glycol ether esters. It is insoluble in alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Application and Properties
WorléeKyd CD 32 in combination with high reactive melamine resins like e.g. Maprenal MF 580 (Hoechst) or Dynomin MI-11-I (Dyno Cyanamid) is suitable to manufacture so-called “low energy” paints which can already be cured at conditions of 30 min. 80°C.
The ratio alkyd / melamine resins (on solids) is normally approx. 4:1. Even if the acid value of WorléeKyd CD 32 is relatively high. Generally good can stability is achieved.
It is recommended to use a sufficient high part of polar solvents, e.g. isobutanol. The achieved film properties like gloss, hardness, flexibility, yellowing resistance and chemical resistances are good.
Also for the manufacture of air drying primers and top coats WorléeKyd CD 32 is suitable. Due to the presence of reactive OH groups the use in isocyanate curing systems is possible.
