Compatibility
WorléeThix 670hs is compatible with most medium and long oil air drying alkyd resins. It is also compatible with the common maleic and phenolic modified hard resins.

Solubility
WorléeThix 670hs is soluble in all common solvents.

Application and Properties
Main application fields are high solid, solvent based, air drying primers, gloss paints, silk gloss paints and glazings for decorative paints, especially with regard to the stricter VOC limit values from 2010 on. WorléeThix 670hs can be used either as a sole binder or as an additional binder (e. g. in combination with WorléeKyd SD 7003, 85% in dearomatized HC 160- 200).

Paint systems with WorléeThix 670hs have a lesser flow tendency on vertical surfaces and exhibit especially good processing properties in spraying, rolling and coating. WorléeThix 670hs is a soft gel which show easier incorporation in paint formulations. According to the required quantity of WorléeThix 670hs thixotropic or stronger thixotropic “non drip” paint systems can be produced.

Under especial system parameters WorléeThix 670hs is pumpable at 50 °C. WorléeThix 670hs has an improved stability against polar solvents, matting agents and driers. Therefore WorléeThix 670hs for example can also be used in colour paste systems.

With the additional use of strong polar additives, strong polar after-treated matting agents and polar solvents please note however that the content is not too high. If the content reaches a too high level the thixotropy of WorléeThix 670hs is reduced.

Driers
Following driers are recommended for WorléeThix 670hs:
0.05 – 0.07% Co
0.10 – 0.20% Zr
0.10 – 0.20% Ca
(metal calculated on solid alkyd resin)

Storage
The storage stability in the originally closed barrel is at a storage temperature from + 5 to + 25 °C 6 months, counted from the day of the delivery ex works.
