Conical Mandrel Bend Test
Conical Mandrel Bend Test is designed to measure the elasticity, elongation and adhesion of a paint film at bending stress on metal panels. Easy-to-use bend test equipment offers straightforward and reliable mandrel testing.
The TQC-Sheen Conical Mandrel Bend Test is a laboratory testing device designed to evaluate the flexibility, resistance to cracking, elongation, and/or detachment of coatings, paints, or varnishes from metal test panels by bending coated panels over a conically shaped mandrel in accordance with TS EN ISO 6860 and ASTM D522 standards.
The conical shape of the bending area allows the elasticity of a coating to be tested across the full range of diameters from 3.1 mm to 38 mm in a single test.
In the “Pro” model, the test panel is secured using a single-hand lever arm that allows for quick fixation and release of the panel in just one second.
The “Basic” model is a simplified version of the TQC-Sheen Conical Mandrel Bend Test “Pro” model. In this version, the test panel is fixed to the device using two clamping knobs—tightened clockwise and loosened counterclockwise.
