Milling Beads
Milling beads for laboratory and industrial applications

For fine grinding in vertical and horizontal bead mills as well as basket mills, glass or zirconium oxide milling beads are used. Economical glass beads are sufficient for applications where ultra-fine grinding is not required.
If the desired dispersion results cannot be achieved with glass beads, the use of zirconium silicate or zirconium oxide beads is strongly recommended.
With a bulk density of 3,6 and 3,5 kg/l, zirconium oxide beads possess high kinetic energy and deliver excellent dispersion efficiency. Stabilized with cerium or yttria, zirconium oxide beads offer high fracture resistance and outstanding wear resistance.
