The Surfix® easy X family of universally applicable coating thickness gauges is suitable not only for demanding laboratory measurements but also for everyday use in operations. The Surfix® easy X series is ideal for customers who want to measure coating thickness simply while also requiring statistical evaluation, abrasion-resistant measurement, and high production quality “Made in Germany.” A single-point calibration function is available to meet challenging measurement tasks. This calibration function, also called “zeroing,” improves measurement accuracy. Built-in online statistics allow quick display of the average value, standard deviation, as well as the maximum and minimum measurement values.
Surfix® easy X is available as the integrated probe Surfix® easy X I and the external, firmly connected probe Surfix® easy X E. Both models come in FN combination devices for coating thickness measurement on ferrous/steel and non-ferrous metals, and F types for coating thickness measurement on ferrous/steel only. Two proven measurement methods are applied for thickness measurement: magnetic and eddy current (DIN EN ISO 2178 and 2360). Both provide the highest accuracy even with thin coatings on steel and non-ferrous metals. FN types use both methods; the selection is made automatically when the probe is placed on the measurement object.
